Jill Hodgins (she/her), Executive Director
Camp Kee-Mo-Kee has always held a special place in the hearts of so many people in our region. When connecting with community members, I hear many stories and fond memories of our camp.
I attended many camps throughout Ontario in my youth, and developed my camp CV as a counsellor, programmer and leader at a variety of camps. I have degrees in Performing Arts, Business and Psychology, experience in the non-profit sector and a business management background. Most importantly, I have a passion for bringing the wonder of camp to everyone in the Camp Kee-Mo-Kee community and helping youth develop as “good humans” and future leaders.
I look forward to seeing you at camp, to connecting with you and your family, to creating camp magic with the camp team, and to being challenged by the goal of continuous improvement at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee!
Sam Powless (Peaches) (they/them), Director of Camps and Programs (aka DCP or Camp Director)
Camp Kee-Mo-Kee has been one of my favourite places since I was a little kid. I attended many day camps during my youth, but overnight camp at Kee-Mo-Kee was always my favourite week of the summer – full of adventures and silliness. I love our program of youth leading youth, where we empower and build up one another with kindness, respect and fun. Camp is a place that encourages us all to bring our most authentic selves and know we still belong.
This spring, I will be completing my Bachelor of Education, where I have been able to continue my professional development and find my path in working with youth. When I am not at camp, I love spending my time reading and creating, primarily beadwork. I am excited to bring all that I have learned to this summer season.
2024 is my third season as the Summer Director and I can’t wait to help bring more magic, singing and programs to the camp. I look forward to spending another season with camp, all the wonderful families and the campers!
